I've been informed recently, in a kind way, that I ask a lot of questions and that a mentor is who I should be consulting in regards to my questions. I was also "referred" to the newbie group, which I already belong to but prefer not to go to since not much goes on there. This person was only trying to be helpful and I thank them for that, but I am sure that others are also thinking the same thing which is why I wanted to "put this out there", not just for myself but for other newbies.
I agree, I do ask quite a few questions, however, I thought that is what these groups were for? I DO have mentors and I ask their opinions as well but I like to hear what other breeders have to say since everyone has different opinions on things and I would like to decide for myself, what I think is "right" or "best" after taking everyone's opinions into consideration. I also consult my veterinarian for any thing to do with health and/or medication. My mentors are great and of course support me in any decision I make and I take what they say very seriously and most times, go with their advice. But if I don't, they are still there for me and understand that people DO have different opinions on things and that I will, in the end, do what is best for my furkids and I.
Being a newbie, I would think it was a good thing that I CARE and want to know all that I can about everything that I can.
So, I will continue to ask questions and in advance, thanks for helping out a newbie (and other lurkers out there who I am sure also benefit from the questions that I ask).
