I was curious what WET food people fed their cats and kittens. I have used Wellness and just bought a few cans of "bynature". Both are good foods but seem quite expensive in comparison to other brands (such a "no name" and "Friskies") and my cats don't like them as much. I was curious if there was a problem giving our cats these less expensive wet foods when they receive high quality dry food all day?? I know with my children, if they eat three healthy meals a day, I will gladly allow them to have a snack throughout the day (chips, cookies, chocolate, etc). Unless there are actual ingredients/additives in these foods that can seriously harm our beloved furkids (more then potato chips and cookies can harm our children) I am not sure that I would mind giving the less expensive wet food to my furkids as a treat. My vet has always said that "cheap" foods such as no name or even Purina are like feeding our pets chips and cookies whereas buying foods such as Orijen, Taste of the Wild, etc are like feeding our pets meat, vegetables, fruits. My cats all LOVE Friskies more then any other wet food I've tried and since they free feed on Taste of the Wild all day - would it really be all that bad for me to give them a couple tbsp of Friskies at night as their daily "treat"? I'd love to hear every one's opinions on this. And if NO to Friskies and "no name", please do tell me which wet foods you recommend and what price you pay for them and the size of can.
