I have viewed all the photos of your kitten from 2 silver parents, as
shown on the recent Persian digest, and agree that she appears to be
a blue smoke and white. Smokes typically have the light or white color
around their eyes at birth, and share that Inhibitor gene with
silvers. It seems likely that one of her silver parents must have had
the white spotting gene along with the silver characteristics.
Otherwise it is hard to account for the white colored patches on the
legs and body of this kitten. Like you, I see no evidence of the tabby
gene that one expects in silvers. It would be interesting to see her
full pedigree to account for
her unusual combination of characteristics. Thank you for sharing this
unusual baby! We currently have a black smoke bred to a bicolor male
and may see something similar to this in their offspring, except that
they both carry chocolate, which may make it even more unusual.
