Re: [PER] throw away breed Exotic Long Hair prevented from breeding to persian male inCFA
I think it's a great point. Why are people concerned about "muddying the water" with unpure kittens that need to be petted out but they're not concerned about PKD kittens needing to be petted out. Don't the PKD kittens increase the petted kittens?

I'm not sure what you mean by PKD causing problems unless you mean that so many good cats were put down because of PKD, but let's not get into that subject again. It's been beat to pieces. I agree that idiotic and unrealistic contracts did it's share of damage, and I would say the glory days of the Fancy are over. Not just the Persian breed. Too many people bought Persians thinking they would make a lot of money. Too many breeders have sold pet quality kittens with breeding rights just so they could get a few bucks more for them. And too many breeders were unwilling to help newbies because they were too busy trying to sell them poor quality cats for breeding.
I could go on and on with the list, but everyone gets the idea. I still feel that adding a look alike breed will only add to the problems.
